Aligned in Living: embracing nature’s wisdom for personal growth
Moving into 2H2024 | A note from our founder Jaslyn
Dear Busy Woman,
I was in Bali earlier this month and caught a virus. This time, it hit me hard! While resting, this gave me lots of quiet space to just be, read, and reflect…reminding me of the beautiful lessons in life, and what really matters - thoughts I would like to share with you as we step into the second half of the year.
Here are a few recurring themes from recent conversations I’ve had with others that may resonate with you:
Feeling burnt out from work, obligations, and trying to carve out time to focus on self and health
A desire to create and express from the heart, impacting the world through art, wellness, business
Wanting to feel seen for who they are, and forge genuine, meaningful relationships with others
I hope the stories below provide a space for reflection, connection, and coming home to self 🍵.

#1: from the garden 🌱
“Just keep going!”
Recently, my dear friend Esther and I helped lay the bricks for this curved area at a community garden. While shaping the curve, we tried to shape the black garden edging in advance, though it would not turn in the way we would like it to…
We continued doing the work - brick by brick. Until suddenly, everything just fell into place. At the moment when the edging was meant to curve, the black garden edging turned perfectly!
This moment of an unexpected win, shared among laughter, taught us an invaluable lesson: sometimes, it's the small, persistent steps rather than grand plans that lead to the most satisfying moments.
At times, we may be planning way in advance, doing-doing-doing, trying to control every element, with little ‘success’. Who knows what the future may hold! What is within our control is consistent little steps, and trusting that our journey, wherever it may take us, holds beautiful lessons.
Also, although I do not live in that area, it was heartwarming to see fellow neighbors volunteering their time for this shared space. A lady has been living there for the past 40+ years! And what a great way to combine ☀️, 💦, and good conversations.

#2: from the sea 🐚
“Beauty is all around us.”
It was 6am and a group of us roamed the shores at low tide, armed with our torches. Beneath what appeared to be just seaweed and empty shells, we discovered a lively world of starfishes, sea urchin, snails, and hermit crabs. This exploration was a powerful reminder to slow down, and look around 👀.
As we reflect on the past six months, I invite you to ponder:
Which 1-3 moments brought you undeniable joy?
If you could do anything, what would you be doing?
What excites you about the months ahead?
